Balzano Family Pumpkin Patch
Located at 5230 Seven Rivers Highway, halfway between Artesia and Carlsbad. Enjoy a beautiful fall day at the Pumpkin Patch. Located just 15 minutes from Carlsbad, our Pumpkin Patch is the perfect way to spend some quality time with your kiddos. Pick out your own locally grown pumpkin, grab a fishing pole and catch some fish in Papa's pond, see all of our cute animals, and wander through our fairy garden. There's plenty of yummy fall food, like caramel apples, homemade pumpkin pie, roasted corn and more. The restaurant will be open serving food, wine and beer all day.
Gemstone Mining
Old school gemstone mining comes to the farm. Buy a bag of sand and use our mining sluice to find the gems that you can take home with you.
Mining Bags are $4 each.
Bounce Pad & Houses
Adults and kids alike can bounce the day away on our new Giant Pumpkin Bounce Pad. Or enjoy on of our other fun bounce houses.
Fairy Garden
Did you know that every time we plant a pumpkin seed a flower fairy is born? Neither did we, until all of a sudden a fairy garden started to be built by our winery. It's filled with fairy homes, and toys and lots of fun things to see. But remember you have to look and not touch and you have to wear our wings and pixie dust so they won't see you.
Fishing Pond
This year our little pond is filled to the brim with fish just waiting for a good fisherman. Catch and release as many as you can. We have the fishing poles and all the gear, just come ready for some fishing fun.

Climb on up and grab a seat on a bail of hay and join the ride down to our pumpkin patch and vineyard, where you can wonder through the field to find the pumpkin that is just right for you!
Farmland Zoo
Love animals? Well we have plenty of cute animals to fall in love with. Feed our adorable goats, llama, baby alpaca, chickens, ducks and more. They love kids and can't wait to see you!
Pumpkin Fun
Our big Pumpkin Blaster where you can shoot a pumpkin over 500 feet and really smash it good!! Shoot 3 pumpkins for $5
Pumpkin Slingshot
Want to see how far you can sling a pumpkin or a gourd? Well then the pumpkin slingshot is your game. Last year our record was a mini pumpkin that was slung 400 feet into the field. can you beat that?
Or try your hand at pumpkin bowling, Knock down all the pins and you win a prize.
Bamboo Maze
You might wonder why we don't have a corn maze. Well we live in the desert and water is a precious thing, especially when you are growing pumpkins and grapes. So we are saving the water for all our big beautiful pumpkins and wonderful grapes that make our wine. But we promise you'll get lost and have fun in this awesome sustainable maze! Named one of the top mazes in New Mexico!
Hay Climbs & Tire Climbs
Kids love to climb on stuff, and we have plenty of things to climb on. They can climb our hay bail stack that is ten bails high (which is extremely high), or climb on one of our old tractors. We have new tire stacks and other fun things.
Nerf Gun Wars
Grab your nerf gun and get busy fighting it out with your family. We have an even bigger new Nerf Gun arena to play in and our Nerf Rival guns are loaded with 50 nerf balls to play with. Fun for the whole family!
Gerbil Races
Work as a team or race your friends and family down the Gerbil race track. Fun for all ages!

The Winery serves our Spirit of Seven Rivers and Luna Rossa wine, as well as New Mexico beer from Marble Brewery, Santa Fe Brewery and others.
Pumpkin Patch Birthday Parties
There's no better way to celebrate a Fall birthday then at the Balzano Pumpkin Patch! It's the perfect fun day for kids of all ages. We have lots of activities to keep everyone busy so you don't have to do all the work.
Birthday Day Party Options
Option #1- Bring up to 20 guests to the pumpkin patch, they can enjoy the whole day, and all activities are included. The Birthday kid gets a free pumpkin of the choice. Your party will have a decorated area in our new Party barn area for your group. You may bring in cupcakes, or cake for your group. $15 a person
Option #2- Bring guests to the pumpkin patch, they can enjoy the whole day, and all activities are included. The Birthday kid gets a free pumpkin of the choice. Your party will have a decorated area in our new Party barn area for your group. You may bring in cupcakes, or cake for your group. Let us feed your hungry crew by giving them a choice of hot dogs, nachos or frito pies, and drink. $20.00 a person.
